lliggins - Greg and Betty Jane, of
R,R. 5 Brussels welcome with love
their daughter Melissa Marie, born
on Oct. 18, 1993 at Wingharn and
District Hospital, weighing 6 Ihs. 15
oz. Melissa is a wee sister for
Meagan and a granddaughter for
John Foran and Wilda and Chester
Higgins.
More real estate deals
finalized in • the village
With the coming of the lust of
November,' Some of the real estate
deals have been finalized around
town.
Mary E. Nelson, who had been
living in the former Jack Collinson
house, has moved into the house
she purchased from Mary Peddle on
Hamilton Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Lane of
R.R. 1, Holyrood have purchased
the home of Euphemia Cameron.
Mildred Cameron sold her home
to Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Forster of
R.R. I, Lucknow.
Both these ladies are now residing
in the new Glenn Haven
Apartments.
Work is proceeding on the new
home that Bradstone Construction is
building for Mike and Diane
Nicholson on Stauffer Street at. the
northern outskirts of Lucknow,
Violet and Ed Thompson held an
open house on Sunday afternoon in
honor of Ed's 80th birthday.
Present to extend birthday
congratulations were Pat Parsons
from London, England, Ken and
Nancy Moss of Dutton, June
Saunders of Daytona, and .many
other friends from Mildmay, Kin-
cardine, Goderich, Belgrave and the
surrounding districts - around 90
altogether. A good visit was en-

• Jamie, Laura, Henry and Hannah
New.son, who are home on furlough
from Nigeria, visited last week with
Austin and Mildred Loree.
There were seven tables of shoot
in play at the Drop in Centre on
Friday. High lad.y and man were
Lois Cunningham and Joe
Courtney, with Caroline Mcnary
and Jim Errington taking low spots.
Margaret Errington had the most
shoots.
Margaret Thompson, of Lucknow,
was honored on Sunday, Oct. 24,
when her Rose Street neighbors
numbering around 20, gathered for
a delicious pot -luck supper at the
home of Alene and Herb Clark.
Mary Lavis, ,on behalf 9f the
group, extended best wishes. and
Alene made the presentation of a
lovely basket flower arrangement.
On Nov. 1 Margaret moved to her
new apartment on Albert Street
from Rose, where she had been a
resident for the past 43 years. She
has sold her home to 'Colin and.

The Purple Grove Halloween
Party was well attended Saturday
night by 22 children. Thanks to
Sandra and Donna Jean Forster and
Stephanie MacDonald who

Jamie Johnston, of Burnaby,
B.C., formerly of Lucknow, and
Lucy Serena of Burnaby were
united in marriage on Oct. 9,
1993. The wedding was officiated
by Father Rossi and took place in
Burnaby. Jamie is the son of
Brian and Linda Johnston of
Lucknow. Lucy is the daughter of
Lorenzo and Elia Serena, of Bur-
naby. Matron of honor was Wen-
dy Miller of Port Moody, B.C.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Aucoin,
Halifax, Nova Scotia; Laura
Serena, Burnaby; Gina Can-
detoro, Coquitlam, B.C., and
Daniela Serena of Burnaby.
Flowergirl was Adriana Serena of
Burnaby with David Serena,. of
Burnaby as ringbearer.
Groomsman was Don Gammie of
Lucknow, with Ken Irwin and
Craig Irwin, both of Lucknow,
Mark Coultes of Brussels and
Michael Johnston of Lucknow as
ushers. Following a wedding trip
to Lucknow and Toronto, they
couple took up residence in Bur-
naby, B.C.

London visiting her sister-in-law.

of Kincardine. Edna along with
Mac and Anne Macl:nnes and
family had fun dressing- up and
going out trick or treating for Hal-
loween.
