their fifth year in that city, To date
the Platers have had 31 players
taken in the NHL entry draft,
including three on their current
roster.
Owen Sound's. Andrew Brunette,
who led the OHL in scoring last
year, was chosen by the
Washington Capitals in the 1993
entry draft and continues to play in
their farm system.
Jim Brown, who placed seventh
in OHL scoring for the 1992-93
season, attended the Toronto Maple
leafs training camp this fall, before
returning to the Platers as one of
their two overage players.
Their current goaltending tandem
of Jamie Storr and Keven Weekes
is considered by many to be the
best in the league. Weekes was
chosen in the second round and
41st overall for the 1993 entry draft
by the NHL expansion Florida
Panthers, but returned to the Platers
for more seasoning.

in the NHL include Kirk Muller of
the Montreal Canadiens, Detroit's
Steve Chiasson, Vancouver's John
Mclntrye, Gary Roberts of the
Calgary Flames, Quebec's Kerry'
Huffman, Warren Riechel of the
Los Angeles Kings, Tampa Bay's
Rob Zamuner and Kirk Maltby of
the Edmonton Oilers.
The Platers- have eagerly accepted
this invitation to come to Lucknow
and see, • it as an opportunity to
expose their fast and skilled hockey
product to this part of their drawing
area. More details will be available

Chaplaincy program assists spiritual/health needs

chaplaincy program is all about.
Often,, just being there is enough.
At other times, volunteer chaplains
are there to offer spiritual guidance
to patients and staff.
Last year, volume r chaplains
spent 934 hours visiting patients at
Wingham and District Hospital,
