"Let all things now living..."
Lucknow and Distrie't Christian
School held an assembly to
celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Each
class participated by doing
something special. Five eighth
graders: Janelle, Michelle, Denise;
Dennis, and Melissa sang 'Let all
things now living...' for the as-
sembly. Grades one and two told
the creation story their way, with
pictures of their favorite parts of the
story. The three/four students told
what Thanksgiving meant to them,
while the fifth. and sixth graders
recited a passage from the Bible.
How much are eggs and bacon? If
you asked a seventh grader that
question, they could answer you in
french. All . of the students made
menus. They also came upwith
names for their restaurants. Le
Parisien, Les Bon Ami and Le Rose
are a few of the names. Bon ap-
petit!
The grade one and twos certainly
had a tunturne last Friday. It ;as
Creation Day.. They went into the
bush and caught crickets, spiders,
and even a tree frog. They put them
in jars and learned about them in
class, then released them back into
the bush. "We had a fun time!" said
Jontue, a student from first grade.
• Did you know?
Sheep have front teeth only on their
lower jaws. instead of biting grass,
they tear it by jerking their heads
forward and up: This usually cuts
the grass close to the ground.
