This half-day of demonstration and participative instruction covers sheep and lamb management skills. Topics include various methods of tail docking, hoof trirnming, crulching, shearing, body condition scoring, live lamb grading, tagging, tattooing, sponging, tubing and baby lamb care. Please dress in clean appropriate barn clothes and in footwear that you do not wear to your own barn. Participants will have an opportunity to receive instructions and then the chance to try each activity firsthand. The cost is $15.00 per person for the half day seminar including lunch, or $25.00 .for two par- ticipants from the same enterprise. Provincial Judging Competition Zone 7 Junior Farmers is hosting the provincial judging competition on Saturday, Oct. 30. The bus. will leave the Stratford Coliseum at 9:00 a.m. sharp. All competitors will be travelling by bus around Perth County to different farms and locations to judge the classes. Categories: college teams*; 441 teams*; or 4-0 individuals; Junior Farmer teams* or individuals; open. *Teams will consist of 4 members.
