Speaking of new people at Brook-

two of our staff members to you,
Miss Glanville and Miss Roberts.
Miss Glanville is Brookside's new
super -secretary. She got her
education at Seaforth High School
and at the University of Windsor.
While she was at University she
worked for the Ministry of Com-
munity and Social Services. She
'also worked at the Clinton/Goderich
racetrack. Another job she worked
at was being a secretary for W.G.
Tli'ompsons Co.
Miss Glanville says, "Brookside is
great!" When she uses the P.A.
system she gets nervous. She thinks
that the office is nice, new, and big.
There are a lot of telephone calls

"All the students and staff are
nice!"
We're happy to have Miss Glan-
ville here. She's friendly, helpful,
and lets students read to her during
USSR!
Miss Roberts is relatively new to
Brookside. She has been here for
the '92/`93 year working part time,
but this year she is working full
time.
Miss Roberts received a Bachelor
of Music Therapy from Wilfred
Laurier, and a Bachelor of
Education from the University of
Windsor. She has also worked at
other places like the Developmental
School for Handicapped Children,
and Music Therapy internship at a
centre for Handicapped Adults.
Miss Roberts really likes Brook-
side. "The students are great and
the staff is wonderful! It is really
fun!"
Brookside is lucky to have Miss
Roberts here full time nowt She's
super -nice, a great teacher, and
music fills the air when she sits
down to the piano.
House league has now started.
There are house league teams for
all junior boys and girls, and senior
girls and boys. The school soccer
teams have also started. The junior
boys team are led by Mr. Culp,
junior girls are by Mrs. Dozois,
senior girls by Mr. Hazlitt, and
senior boys by Mr. Yeo.
The library has a new look this
year. There are three brand new
"old" comfy chairs. They were
donated by Katie Hackett,. Mrs.
Watkins, and Mr. and Mrs. George
Errington. It adds a real spark to
the library now that we can curl up
in the chairs and read. Mrs. Basker-
ville helped our chairs out too. She
repaired one, and gave us a
beautiful afghan to cover another!
We also have a carpet made by
the students of '90/'91. We had an
all -school Pioneer Day, and the'
students made a long, long rag
braid. But no one knew how to turn
it into a rug. This summer Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Hunter helped us out.
They made the braid into a
beautiful carpet! Thanks everybody.
