Maitland Presbyterial holds fall meeting
Can you imagine riding in a ar-
mored car .surrounded by armored
trucks everytime you went, any
place? Or trying to sleep with
families wailing and Chanting on
the other side of the wall or soldiers
marching around on the roof above
you? These were some of the ex-
periences related by Trudy Wal-
dinger when she spoke to the ladies
at the Maitland Presbyterial fall
rally held in Knox Church Kincar-
dine on Sept. 15.
Trudy had gone to Somalia last
winter to work with U.N.I.C.F. and
help to distribute nine and a half
tons of clothing that had been col-
lected and packed in a 20' case at

the Kincardine church. She was
amazed how the U.N.I.C.F. workers
from many different countries were
able to work together and all
understand each other. She chal-
lenged the group by saying they
should help to make a better life,
and they couldn't claim ignorance
as an excuse as she had told them
of the situation of these women and
children.
The meeting commenced at' 5:30
with a delicious supper served by
the Kincardine ladies. •
President Edina Haldenby wel-
comed everyone and opened with a
poem and prayer. Rev. Paisley
welcomed everyone to the Kincar-
dine church and thanked the ladies
for the work the WMS groups are
doing in the churches.
The worship service was
presented by the Teeswater WMS.

ture from James, Ina Ireland giving
the meditation on love and for-
giveness and Pearl Sutton leading in

two beautiful musical selections
which were enjoyed by everyone.

tificate was presented to Norma
Rintoul, of Whitechurch, by Kath-
leen Elliott in appreciation of her
faithfulness working for the WMS.

of the children's Rally; Agnes
Bregman the report of the Mission
