TAKE •NOTICE that the Council of the Village of Lucknow will .hold
a Public Meeting on MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1993 at 7:30 p.m , in.

to consider a proposal by THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE
OF LUCKNOW, for an amendment to the Village of Lucknow
Comprehensive Zoning By -Law No. 2-1986, as amended.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Council of the Village of
Lucknow will hold a PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE for viewing of the
Amendments on MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1993 FROM 2:00 P.M. TO
4:00 P M. in the Village of Lucknow Municipal Offices, Council
Chambers, LUCKNOW, Ontario.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that .the County of Bruce Agriculture,
Tourism and Planning Committee will .hold a Public Meeting on
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6TH, 1993 AT 10:00 A.M., in.Meeting
Room No. 2 of the Bruce County Administration Building, 30 Park
Street, WALKERTON, Ontario, in order to consider an Amendment
to the Village of Lucknow Secondary Plan.
The nature of the Amendments are to recognize development con-
straints of lands within 'liood fringe and floodway areas. Both
Amendments to the Secondary Plan and thso Zoning By-Law..wltl..:.
affect various properties within the Village. The Amendments are
intended to correct drafting discrepancies between the Zoning By-
Law, Secondary Plan and Floodplain Mapping that occurred, during
' the initial preparation of the Secondary Plan and Zoning By -Law
Schedules.
ANY PERSON'may attend the Public Meeting and make written or
verbal representation either in support. or in opposition to the pro-
posed Amendment. If any person„recewing this notice .does not
attend the meeting, the Council and Committee may proceed in,
his/her absence and he/she may not be entitled to any further notice
of the Council's or Committee's proceedings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Amendment
may be obtained from the Bruce County Planning and Economic
Development Department, 30 Park Street, Walkerton, Ontario, NOG
2V0, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30. p.m., Monday to
Friday, or at the Village. of Lucknow Municipal Clerk's Office

Four generations were Featured at
a Family Reunion held at the home
of Catherine and John Steverls,
Cedar Vale Bird Sanctuary, on
Sun., Aug. 29.
Jessie Stevens, Jo'hn's mother, is
Generation one, son John is second,
generation, granddaughter Nancy
Egelston the third, and .thg„ show
stealer, . 17 -month-old great
granddaughter Stephanie Egelton, of
London, the fourth generation.
Their spacious grounds was the
perfect setting for outdoor sports.
Bocce -or lawn bowling, horse shoes
and a hay ride topped with a corn
roast was enjoyable to all.
We have Reba McEntyre fans in
Dungannon - a concert was at-
tended on Sun., Aug. 29, when
Reba entertained at the C.N.E. in
Toronto.
Bev Ohm and Jacqui Dawson had
back stage passes to meet the star.
Also attending the Brooks - Dunn
Concert was Sharon Dawson and
daughter Robyn and Shelley Ulch.
Farewell to the Faber family who
• •will surely be missed by Dungan-
non friends and acquaintances.
Steven Faber was transferred to
W.G. Thompson and Sons in
Mitchell on February 1. Sheila,
daughters Melissa and Sherri, and
son Scott have now taken up
residence in their new home on
Walt Lane, a cul-de-sac in Mitchell.
Mabel Lamont., Bernice Henry,
Tom Culbert and Elmer Trommer
were winners at the Dungannon
Senior Citizen Wednesday night
euchre. There were 11 tables in
play.
September 1 was a day of
celebration for Frank Pentland when
he was honored on his 84th
birthday by family.and friends at a
"come and go tea” and smorgasbord
supper. Present for the occasion
were brother Alan and Irene
Pentland and sister-in-law Vivian
Pentland, of North Bay, brother
LaVeme and Dorothy, of Detroit,
brother Benson and Rhena, of Lon-
don, brother Wilfred and. Marjorie,
of Dungannon, and sister Margaret
Pritchard, of Goderich. She was

well enough to attend the birthday
party after just being released from
a 10 -day hospital duration.
Daughter Donna and Mike. Carney
of Owen Sound, and Dean and
Megan, daugf ter Pat and George
Gibson- of Lucknow and
granddaughter Jan Blackwell, of
Cornwall who assisted Belle Mole
with preparations, were present.
Ralph and Alice Foster were
honored guests observing their 14th
anniversary Sept. 1.
The former Enid Maize Williams
and her husband Borden Fenton, of
Tara, were , also in attendance.
Conratulations were extended to
this couple whose marriage took
place in Tara on March 27.
With the Labor Day weekend, we
say farewell' to our summer
vacationers and good luck to
students and teachers as they„dead
back to school.
Ian . and Allan Kerslake spent a
few days with their grandparents

they were taken back to their home
in Staffa Tom, and Margaret visited
with their son-in-law and- daughter °v
Peggy. Granddaughters Heather and
Lynette returned with them for their
visit. '
Marion Orser of Vancouver,
British Columbia visited with the
Young families; Tom and Margaret,
Art and Isabel, and Fred and Don-
na.
Sharori laggs and children Brian,
Mark and Susan of St. Catherines,
spent the weekend with Sharon's
parents Nels and Gloria Pearson.
A bridal shower for Darlene Kuik,
bride-to-be of Dan Smeltzer, was
held at the Kingsbridge Parish Hall
on Mon., Aug. 30. She received
many lovely and useful gifts. Dar-
lene is the daughter of John ffnd
Helen (Little) Kuik and
granddaughter of the late Jim Little •
formerly of Dungannon.
• Sincere sympathy is extended to
Wayne, and Debbie Bauer and
family on the sudden death of their
son Greg.
At the time of writing the hydro
here in Dungannon has been out for
OVei`"thr'ee hours. It is hoped it will
soon be restored.
