All public interested in the procedures of amalgamating Ripley and. Huron township are asked to attend. Blue Bomber Soccer The Ripley Blue Bombers Tyke 1 played Kincardine Tyke 2 on July 14 and claimed the victory due to a forfeit on Kincardine's behalf. On Aug. 4, the Blue Bombers played Kincardine Tyke 3 and defeated their opponents 3-1. The hat u -ick was earned by ,Jordan Johnson. A great game was played by Holly Gibson and good goal tending was played by Sarah Irwin and Gord Weppler. Jerod Rowe and David White played excellent offense while Jolayne Booth, Britini Rowe and Kyle Beech defended their end. Congratulations to the whole team on their win. Friends of the Library Thanks is extended. to Kelly Miller's Circus for donating 150 tickets to children visiting the library on July. The library has been very. busy this .summer with both local and visiting patrons. Dinosaur books have been a huge item with the youngsters this summer. Shirley MacDonald had sone .a terrific job filling in for librarian Judy Hawrylyshyn. Thanks to all the volunteers who pitched in to help keep the library running smoothly during Judy's vacation. Recent donations of paper backs and magazines have been ap- -preciated. These items are always in great demand during the summer. One book worth asking for is RIPL.EY by Barb Grubh Undertow by Susanna Kearsley. This mystery is set in Canada and written by a local author from Port Elgin.
