Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Dale McInnis, of Glencoe, on the
arrival of their baby daughter Car-
leigh Mariah Anne, a sister for
Kevin and a granddaughter for Mr.
and Mrs. Dan McInnis formerly of
Concession 10.

Dr. and Mrs. Mac MacDonald, of
Kincardine, had his mother, Nina
and Bessie Mauldcn at their home -
to celebrate Nina's birthday.
Jean Phillips of Fonthill visited
her with her sister Bessie Mauldcn.
On Wednesday afternoon Nina
MacDonald • entertained Bessie
Maulden, Jean Phillips, Winnifred
Percy, Edna and May Boyle at a
social afternoon and delicious din-
ner before she leaves our village to
take up residence at her Ripley
apartment. They also helped Win;
nifred Percy celebrate her birthday.
'We will miss Nina in our neighbor-
hood and wish her every blessing in
her new apartment in, Ripley.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Haldenby,
Brad Engel, Leanne Haldenby and
Myrtle Percy spent ,a few days at
Cochrane with . Mr.' and Mrs.- Hugh
Jansen and family and Joe and
Nancy Jansen at Earlton. On Mon-
day they visited with Dr. and Mrs.
Fred Haldenby at McKellar.

Swink` team
competes in
Goderich

On August 7, 13 Lucknow swim
team members and two coaches
competed in the third .nkeet of the
season in Goderich. .
It was one of the team's most
outstanding meets point wise, and
even though the weather gave us a
soaking, it didn't dampen the spirits
of the swim team.
Your hard work is paying off
team, keep up the great work.
Swimmers • included: Samantha
Mayer, Tasha Mayer, Amy Blake,
Lori Blake, Patricia Bonsma, Karis-
sa Dickie, Sarah Morrison, Heather
Askes, Sarah Taylor, Trever Askes,

last week.
Bob, Lois and Alexander Ross, of
Waterloo, spent the holiday
weekend with his parents, Don and
Jean Ross. On Sunday they visited
with Roy and Betty Pennington.
Carmen Whytock retired the end
of July from the Wingham and
District Hospital after 21 years as
part of the kitchen staff. A get
together of the kitchen staff was
held at the Wingham Park on July
27 to honor him. On July 30 a
retirement party was held at the
hospital for him.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gaunt Were
Sunday evening visitors with Jean
and Don Ross.

produced.
Rather than sell his idea, Robb set
up his own company. By 1936 the
Robb Wave Organ Company' was
delivering organs to stores and
chapels in Toronto, but the Depres-
sion spelled doom for Robb's
entrepreneurial venture.
The company folded the following
year, but the multiplicity of sounds
that can be orchestrated on the
electronic organ continue to delight
millions who can share the thrill of
"marching thunder" in their own
homes.
