Kevin and Cory Rintoul hosted
the fifth meeting of the Lucknow
Beef Club on July 21. Members
practiced judging to prepare for
the judging competition to be
held'' in Seaforth on Aug. 12.

attend annual
Burt reunion
The 24th annual Burt reunion was
held on Saturday, July 17, at the.
Hanover Memorial Park.
After an enjoyable afternoon of
swimming, games and visiting, 37
family members and friends sat
down to a delicious potluck supper.
Lou Carignan, acting president,
presided over the business meeting.
A minute of silence was observed
in memory of family members who
had passed away.
The 25th reunion will be held on
Saturday, July 16, 1994 at the
Hanover Park. The picnic executive
is Lou Carignan, president; Mark
Carignan, vice president; Cheryl
Peck, secretary; Norma Carignan,
treasurer; Tanya and Kristina Hol-
combe, sports committee; Lois
Mcknighht-and-- Aose-Btrr-t food
committee.
Mary Louise Carignan and Glen
Fawcett, Vancouver, B.C. had
travelled the farthest. June Bradley
won the candy jar.
Everyone was encouraged to
attend next year's reunion and to
bring another family member or.

gather for 32nd reunion
The 32nd annual Sherwood-
Twamley'Reunion was held in the
Belgrave Women's Institute Hall on
Sunday, July 18, 1993.
After a noon meal, vice-president
Donald Thornton welcomed
everyone. A moment of silence was
observed in memory of family
members who are no longer with
us.
Tena Thornton was in charge of
the children's games and each child
' receiving a prize. Gracie Finnigan
received the prize for the youngest
present, the senior member was
Myrtle Johnstone, Mildred Henry
and Myrtle Johnstone came the
farthest, and. Mary Thornton
guessed the number of smarties in a
lar.
Officers for the corning year are:
president, Alvin Sherwood; vice-
president, Donald Thornton;
secretary -treasurer, Anne McInnes;
lunch, Tena Thornton, Mildred
Henry and Alma Finnigan; sports,
Jim.and Grace Finnigan.
Myrtle Johnstone gave a short
talk on her progress in family his-
tory research. She has found some
new leads which is adding to the
interest. She also brought other
information and pictures for
viewing.
Donald Thornton thanked
everyone for coming and all those
who helped. The remainder of the
afternoon was spent visiting.
Next year's reunion will be held
at the same location on the third.
Sunday in July at 1 p.m.
Mary Edwina Stewart
1911 - 1993
Mary Edwina Stewart, of RR. 6,
Goderich, died at the Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital,
Goderich, on July 26, 1993, in' her
83rd year.
Mrs: Stewart was a member of
the Lucknow Presbyterian Church,
Women's Missionary Society and
the Dungannon Senior Citizens.
A daughter of the late Richard
and. Margaret (Reid) Park, she was
born Apr. 7, 1911, in Dungannon.
She is survived by her husband,
Arthur Stewart, who she married on
June 28, •1930, in Dungannon.
Mrs. Stewart also leaves to mourn
her passing a daughter Edna and
.her _.husband--Ron--.Alton,-of--Luck-
now, and two sons, Norman and his
wife Norma, of London, and
Richard and his wife Leslee of
North Bay.
She is also survived by a sister
Beth (Ken) Hodges, of Dungannon,
and two brothers, John Park and
Dick Park, both of Dungannon; 11
grandchildren and, 12 great
grandchildren.
Mrs. Stewart was predeceased .by
a daughter, Joycc Caesar (1990), a
brother, Bcn Park, and a sister Edna
Black.
Rev. R.D. MacDonald officiated
at the funeral on July 28, at 1:30 at
the MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home, Lucknow. Organist
was Donalda Moffat.
Flower bearers were Jason
Caesar, Heather Stewart, Susan Van
Dcrhoeven, Kent Alton, David
Caesar, Mallory Caesar, Colleen
Caesar, Danielle Brooks, Tyler
Brooks and Kelly Stewart.
Pallbearers were Sean Stewart,
Mark Stewart, Stewart Caesar, Gary
Caesar, Randy Alton and Blair
Alton. 0
Interment Dungannon Cemetery.

Rosalie Burley
1948 - 1993 •
Rosalie May (MacIntyre) Burley
died suddenly July 22, 1993 at
University Hospital, London; after a
long illness. She was born June 9,
1948.
Saddened by her passing is her
son Daniel MacIntyre and his friend
Vicky Horgon,' both of London,
Also dearly missed by parents
Daphne and Donald MacIntyre of
Lucknow. Rosalie will be missed by
six sisters: Carol MacIntyre of
London, Sheila Cvetes of Hamilton,
-Barbara-Dale, Ardonna Symes,
Linda Beynon and JoAnn LaBelle,
all of Clinton. She was a favourite
aunt to her many nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her first
husband Fredrick Lovell, a brother-
in-law Victor LaBelle, and her
grandparents William and Annie
MacIntyre, and Albert and May
Allen:
Funeral arrangements were made
by the Logan Funeral Home, Lon-
don. Cremation to follow.
