Dungannon has new correspondents
Two community -minded ladies
in Dungannon have offered to
fill the position , as correspon-
dents of that village for The
Lucknow Sentinel and The
Goderich Signal Star.
Teresa Courtney is no stranger
to the posit}on of a community
newspaper correspondent. She
served as the Kingsbridge cor-
respondent for a lengthy period
some years 'ago, when she and
her husband were farming in
Ashfield Township. They have
now retired to Dungannon*
Margaret Errington, a long
time resident of Dungannon, is
the other correspondent who has
offered her time to the position.
.,Both ladies have a keen
interest in keeping village hap-
penings in both papers.
However, the position of a cor-
respondent can be a difficult and
time-consuming effort. While
they are anxious to do a good
job, they do require the
cooperation of area residents to
provide them with the news.
If you've got something hap-
pening in your family or or-
ganization, and you'd like to
share it with the community give
either of the ladies a call. Teresa
can be reached •at 529-7189 and
Margaret at 529-7270.
