The class
of 1948
reminisces
at reunion
In September 1948, 33 young
students embarked upon their
secondary education at the Luck -
now High School.
On Saturday,July 31, 1993, 19
of these classmates, along with
spouses or friends, gathered at
the Lucknow Town Hall to
renew old friendships, reminisce
and peruse old pictures provided
by the classmates.
This was their first reunion.
When asked why a Grade .9
reunion was being held after 45
years, the answer was simple - it
was time to renew those
friendships that were initiated so
many years ago. Those in atten-
dance missed those who were
unable to make it.
Donations were received and
the classmates held a tree plan-
ting ceremony at Victoria Park,
near the site of their old high
school which burned in 1967.
' Dinner was enjoyed, more
laughs and chatter and then they
jobrneyed on their ways.
