A good crowd was on hand to enjoy a plate of baked potatoes, beef, cole slaw, relishes and cake. MacDonald Picnic The Dan MacDonald clan held their annual picnic at the Point Clark Lion's Park. The hot weather did not deter a great turnout with 107 participants and 11 visitors. Marion, John, Donalda, Jim and Doris were present of Dan's children. Shelley Gamble celebrated. her 23th birthday and the Cronin families led some interesting games. The picnic finished with a family shower for Glenda Gamble and Mark. They hope to see all the MacDonald's again in December at the curling rink. Ripley Legion Auction Sale The Ripley Legion are holding their auction sale, bake table, and barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Ripley Legion Hall beginning at 10 a.m. If you have any good used items to donate the Legion mem- bers will pick them up. Call 395- 3226 or 395-2908. Fall W.M.S. Mr. and Mrs. George Armstrong spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Parry and family of Bright. Mr. and Mrs. Ted McClenaghan of Kitchener spent the weekend with Mildred • McClenaghan. On Saturday evening, Mr: and Mrs. Don Saunders of Goderich were supper guests with Mildred. Carmen and Brian Farrier of Toronto and Olive Gillespie of Sarnia spent a few days with Agnes Farrier and attended the Farrier picnic on Sunday. Other visitors with Agnes were Lorraine '.Walker, Justin and Nathan of Sarnia, Barry, Debbie Gillespie and family of Corunna, Wayne Beth Farrier of Guelph. Mrs. Clara Irwin and son Chance of Lynton, B.C. arrived on Saturday to spend a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Milligan. Her husband Steve and Finlay MacDonald, a maintenance worker at Kintail Camp, added a special touch to the Saturday, July 24 concert by sharing two tunes of the fiddle. Mr. and Mrs. John de returned home hist week from a two-week trip to Edmonton to see their son, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil deBoer and family. Ryan Nicholson of.Seaforth spent a few days recently with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John deBoer. Chalmers W.M.S. held a meeting on July 21 at the home of Mrs. Kathleen Elliott. Louise Laidlaw and Mildred Purdon were the leaders. Louise gave the call to worship and Mildred read the scripture, followed the meditiation by Louise. Jean Ross read a Summer Melody.
