Whitby families on the weekend
were Rose Knight, the former Rose
Whitby, her son Joe, his wife Irene,
and their son Justin from Nova
Scotia. On Saturday evening, 90
members of the family gathered at
the Legion where they were served
a meal in honor of Rose's 90th
birthday. There were several people
present from the United States,
coming from as far away as Mis-
souri and Los Angeles.
This Sunday, August 1, Jessie
Johnston will be celebrating her
90th birthday when her family is
hostingan open house at the
Legion. Congratulations and best
wishes Jessie!

Council agrees to reduce remuneration
by $5 per special and regular meetings
In a recorded vote, with four
yeses and one no, Kinloss
Township Council agreed to reduce
their remuneration by $5 per special
and regular meetings.
Councillors voted on the motion
at its July 19 meeting. The
reduction will take effect as of
August 1, 1993.
