Last week's Soaring temperatures and miserable humidity made

Wilkins visit in Ingersoll
On Sunday "the Wilkins Charlie
and Mayme and Bill and Joanne
were in Ingersoll where they visited
with Dave, Liz and Rebecca Dad -
son.
Larry, Janet, Laura and Adam
Wilkins and Janet's parents (Evan
and Jean Hoffman,) were dinner
guests on Monday with Charlie and
Mayme Wilkins.
Weekend visitors with Dorothy
Finlayson were Rod Finlayson, his
two girls Laura and 'Lisa, and a
friend Shannon of Sarnia; Duncan,.
Laura and Karissa Finlayson of Port
Elgin, and Carol' Finlayson, her
husband John Balch and their three
boys, Alexander, Nicholas and Elias
of London.
Kathleen Calvert, of Sarnia,
visited for a few ' days with her
sister and brother in-law, Marj and
Ewan MacLean.
Weekend visitors with Charlie and
Mayme Wilkins were their
daughter, son-in-law and
grandchildren, Janet, Allan, Steven
and Colleen Peck..
Cecil and Kae Webster visited in
Richfield, Ohio with Jean, Atlee
and Tricia Wise.
While in the U.S. they discovered
our medical program is not so bad
after all (if it continues) because a
family member that had to, have a
hip replacement found that 5 per
cent of the cost had to be. paid .and

Betty and Barry Jones hada very
busy day on Sunday when they first
visited a funeral home in Thames -
ford where Betty's uncle Fred
Hunter was resting and in Gorrie
they attended a wedding anni'ver-
sary-for, Chris and Leonard Sander-
son. Then they visited Betty's
brother, George Hunter, who was a
patient in a London Hospital.

Toronto.

Dairy club has
nine members

Ripley Dairy Club
The Ripley Dairy Club led by
Paul, and Carolyn Harris, are busy.
learning about Housing and Equip-
ment. There are nine members in
the club: Sarah MacKay, Denise
Tadla, Julie Robinson, Mark Good-
hue, Kathy Goodhue, Christine
Goodhue. Christine Farrell, Carmen
Farrell and Lori Walden. '
The3first meeting was held at Paul
and. Carolyn Harris' house. Judging
was' the topic at this meeting and
the members tried their hand at
, judging. Tljg second meeting was
held at JeTf and Sandra Farrell's
place. The topic of discussion here
was calf care. The third meeting
was held at Carmen and Christine
Farrell's farm. Bob Middlekamp
was the guest speaker. The Good -
hue's are hosting the next meeting.
The topic . will be showing and
fitting the calves.
Ripley -Blue -Bombers
The Ripley tyke 1 Blue Bombers
are having a great season: Their
record is 4-1-1. In the July 6 game
they defeated Kincardine by a score
of 4-2. Scoring was led by Jordan
Johnson, followed by Kyle Beech.
David White shot it by the goalie to
claim Ripley's third goal. Before
the 'gyne ended Jordan Johnson
found the mark for the second time
during the game. David White and
Britini Rowl played a super game
in net. Excelllent defense was
played by Jordan Johnson, Holly
Gibson, Sarah Irwin and Jaylene

The Whitechurch Women'$
Institute has as. their July meeting a
bus trip to Cambridge outlets, and
to the performance at the Drayton
Theatre of Me and My Girl. They
enjoyed supper at the Family Affair
restaurant in Drayton. Forty-two
local and area ladies and gents
enjoyed the trip.
Mr. and Mrs. George Ross, of
Owen Sound, spent the weekend
with Don and Jean Ross.
