Walk With Patsy Cline will open
the second stage at Huron Country
Playhouse Playhouse II, or PII as
it is more commonly known. PII is
more intimate, seating 118 cabaret
style. PII is licensed and waitress
service and snacks by Barbara's
Naturally of Grand Bend, will be
available for your enjoyment,

Regan, A Closer Walk With Patsy
Cline has been playing to sold out
houses across Canada and the
United States. It is the musical
story of the life and untimely death
of one of country music's brightest
stars.
Portraying Patsy Cline is one of
Canada's brightest, country music
stars, London's own, Marie Bottrell.
This Canadian recording artist and
songwriter has appeared on many
TV shows.
Now, Marie Bottrell's "unique
vocal styling" will be heard, live on
stage, in A Closer Walk With Patsy
Cline at Huron Country Playhouse
from, July 6 - Aug. 14. All of
Cline's classics are there: The
Wayward Wind, Watkin' After
Midnight, Hungry For Love, Al-
ways, I Fall To Pieces, She's Got
You, Back In Baby's Arms and
many many more, strung together
by a small town radio disc jockey,
played by David Sparrow, who
takes you from Cline's early strug-
gle to her celebrated appearances at
the Grand 01' Opry, in Los Angeles
and at Carnegie Hall.
The back-up band is made up of
Colin Stewart (band leader/bass
guitar/vocals). Ken Stewart
(drums/vocals), Don Poulton
(keyboards/vocals) and John Kenny
(guitar/vocals).

Wait Until Dark opened in New
York on Feb. 2, 1966 starring
Robert Duvall and Lee Remick,
keeping audiences gaspingly on the
edge of 'their seats for 374 perfor-
mances, closing on Dec. 31 of that
year and then toured to the spring
of 1967, In the film version,
released in 1967, Audrey Hepburn
and Alan Arkin starred.

Playhouse stage is Linda Mackay as
the courageous and enterprising
Susy Hendrix, who pits her courage
and ingenuity against the forces of
evil and oh yes, she's blind. Ms.
Mackay will be remembered from
Ten Little Indians, Run For Your
Wife and Boeing Boeing at HCP.
Eric Coates will play the arrogant,
leading thug Harry Roat Jr. who
returns again and. again, each time
impersonating "friends" who want
to help her escape the menacing
actions of his fellow conspirators,
Sgt. Carlin played by Costin Manu
and Mike Tatman played by
Stephen Russell.
All of these evil doers are played
by newcomers to Huron Country
Playhouse: Mr. Coates has appeared
at Neptune Theatre, Halifax,
Theatre New Brunswick, Arbour
Theatre and The Stratford•. Festival;
Mr. Manu has worked extensively
in theatre, TV, film and Commer-
cials and Mr. Russell is a veteran of
theatres across Canada.
David Keeley, another new face
to Playhouse audiences, will play
SAM HENDRIX, the photographer
husband of our heroine who, al-
though decoyed away for most of
the action retums to her rescue in
the nick of time.
Playing Gloria, a neighbor's brat -
of -a -daughter who gets caught up in
o the embroilment, . will be Angela
Soares. This youngster from Strath-
roy was last seen in The Wizard Of
Oz at HCP.
Completing the cast are familiar
faces to HCP: Carl Zvonkin and
John McHenry as New York City
Patrolmen. Mr: Zvonkin is the
Huron Country Playhouse Theatre
School Instructor and Mr. McHenry
the Playhouse Public Relations
Director.
Directing Wait Until Dark will be
David Brown. During the past 20
years Mr. Brown has acted in and
directed over 100 productions in
theatres from coast to coastand as.
far afield as Venezuela. This is his
first time at HCP.
Re-creating a Greenwich Village
basement apartment will be set
designer Robert J. Ivey. Other
aspects of the production will be
headed by Simon Day, prouucuon
manager/lighting designer, Jo
Zvonkin, wardrobe and Laurie
Hirst, stage manager and their -sup-
port staff.
This masterfully -constructed
thriller will keep you on the edge of
your seat as it moves from one
moment of suspense to another,
building towards and electrifying

JUNIOR RESUSCITATION •
There is a new program being offered this summer called Junior
Resuscitation. It is for those of you who are too young to begin
Bronze Medallion or just want some added skills. It provides you
with experience in the life saving techniques of rescue breathing
and first aid. Boy Scouts or Girl Guides may find this beneficial.
The cost is $45.00 for 3 weeks and it begins on July 6 at 5:00
