Scouts say thanks!
To the editor:
As the community is aware, the
Lucknow Scouts have . been in-
volved in an intensive fundraising
drive for the past year.
Even through these tough times,
the support we have received from
everyone has been overwhelming
and we thank you all. Over $14,000
has been raised and other $3,000
donated to send 14 Scouts and their
three leaders to Kananaskis Valley,
just west of Calgary for the
Canadian Jamboree '93.
Part of their schedule of events
includes the Calgary Stampede,
Calgary Zoo, Native Tradition and
Lore, archery, mountain hiking and
fly fishing. They will also have the
opportunity to see the Columbia Ice
Fields and the Athabaska Glaciers
as they travel down the highway

between Jasper and Banff.
Sincere thanks to all who bought
juice, picnic tables, quilt tickets,
cook books, duck race tickets, took
part in the foster a pig contest and
bottle drive, attended the pancake
breakfasts,supported the food
booths, yard sale and car wash, and
for all the individual cash
contributions. Because of your
extremely generous support, 14
very lucky boys from the 1st Luck -
now Scout Pack will have the trip
of a life time.
