There are many opportunities for head lice to spread amongst children all sum- mer long sleep -overs, summer sports teams, shared headgear, camp outs, neighborhood play groups and visitors from other areas are just a few examples'. We will never eliminate head lice. The most we can tip is limit the spread of head lice. The Bruce - Grey -Owen Sound Health Unit recommends that parents continue to check their children'sheads weekly as part of their routine care. Check daily if you think your child may have come into contact with head lice. The earlier an infestation is found - the easier it is to clear up. Infor- mation on the identification and treatment of head lice is available from the health unit, pharmacists and physicians.
