displaYed at Guild meeting
Over 60 ladies answered rollcall
with show and teal at the May
meeting of the Five Star Quilters
Guild, held in the Lucknow Town
Hall. Beautiful quilted works of art
were displayed.
An exchange of five inch quilt
blocks between 43 members took
place. Next month 50 ladies will
participate in the exchange of quilt
blocks. September's lottery will be
the scrap quilt block.
Members are to make a quilt
block by June 23 with fabrics sup-
plied by the Guild. These blocks
will be judged and prizes awarded.
They will then be made into quilts
for 1994.
Joanne Weber demonstrated the
making of a large tote bag to carry
cutting boards and accessories.
Several had their material already
cut so the sewing machines were
busy.
Barbara deBoer was surprised by
a happy birthday cake. Shirley Bolt
won the lottery quilt blocks in
mauves and off white.
The next meeting is June 23, 10
a.m. with a pot luck dinner.

but not beside onions and garlic.
Pole beans do well with radishes.
Una read a poem Elusive Spring
and Elizabeth read The Constel-

Nineteen members and one visitor
answered rollcall with a flash back
of a farm experience.
