bus drivers
A safety awareness course for
G.T. Montgomery bus drivers was
the centre of attention for 30 of its
drivers last Saturday.
Ian Montgomery said they
adapted the course, taken from the
School Bus Operator's Association,
to fit the space available at their
Campbell Street location. The
course involved many aspects of
driving with 13 check points, and a
total of 640 points available as a
perfect score.
Ian said participation was strictly
on a voluntary basis, and was a
means of "building more pride in
our drivers, and making them
realize they are better than they
think." G.T. Montgomery bits
drivers get together six to seven
times a year to hear about changes
that affect them and to get to know
each other.
