Rachel is a wee sister for Tanya, Nicole, Kyle, Lucas and Cody. Proud grandparents are Robert and Isobel Shepherd, Lucknow and Arnold and Joyce Stothers, Nile. Gordon - Greg and Nathalie (nee Meurs) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their first child, Scott Gregory, on Apr. 23, 1993. Area ladies attend arthritis meeting Jean Wilson, Bluewater Region chair of The Arthritis society wel- comed volunteers, to the recent. annual arthritis meeting. Joanne Wright, Director of sup- port Services, gave the Ontario Report and explained the goals for the future of the Society. Mary Guse, area co-ordinator, expressed appreciation to the volun- teers for raising $211,485.00 in 1992, and challenged those in atten- dance to involve others in the com- munity. People on the move again With the coming of May some of the real estate deals around town have been completed. Having sold his building to McDonagh's, Joe Agnew moved his, business to the store at the corner of Campbell and Inglis Streets. Doug Adamson has purchased the home of Katherine Smith at 483 Campbell St. The home of Kirk and Donna Ferchuk at 279 Ross St. has been purchased by Bob and Beth Aitchison. The Ferchuk's are moving to Northern Ontario. Linda Hopper is moving into the home at 400 Ross St. she purchased from the Rena Fitch Estate, Birthday wishes go out -this week to Herb McQuillan who celebrated his 93rd birthday on May 3 and to Annie Laidlaw of Maple Breezes who is 95 today, May 5. Congratulations to each of these senior citizens. Sympathy is extended to Alice and George Taylor and other mem- bers of the family in the passing of 11111 by Mildred Loree UCKNOW her mother, Mrs. Barkwell, a former resident of Lucknow. The get together at the Drop in Centre on Apr. 30 started with a pot luck dinner at noon. Six tables of shoot were in play with Irene Haldenby and Andy Scott as high winners, and Mary Belle Peddle and Harold Gardner in low spots. Ella Hand took the most shoots. Sarah Ritchie received a big surprise when her daughter Anne Riegling of Fairview, Alberta, ar- rived unannounced for a visit. Anne spent two weeks in the area visiting with relatives and friends before returning home last Thursday. Freda Broome has moved and now resides at Braemar Nursing Home, in Wingham, Lucknow and District Kinsmen were busy on Saturday as, they pumped gas at participating dealers Lucknow. Service Centre, Montgomery Motors, Chisholm Fuels and Hamilton Fuels to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. Paul Zinn didn't care how big or small the vehicle was he was ready and willing to "fill It up." Two cents on every litre of gas was donated to CF. Nina McDonald and Bessie Maul - den visited on Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Don Robertson at Lucknow. Michelle Haldenby returned home after being in Owen Sound and Hanover Hospitals.
