NICHOLSON • •
In loving memory of our -husband;
father, father-in-law and grandfather,
Wilmer. Nicholson, who passed away
two years ago, May 8, 1991. .
So many ways our lives have changed
in the two years since you've been
gone.
For as they say, when loved ones pass,
we living must go on.
But sure as the sun In the blue sky
shines and with spring comes flowers
and rain,
Your memory lives within our hearts and
our love for you remains.
We often think of yesterdays,
When- we were all together,___.—_____
The family chain is broken now,
But your memories will live forever.
Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill
In life we loved you dearly in death we
love you still.
No matter how we spend our day, no
matter what we do,
No morning dawns, no night returns
without a thought of you.
With love always: Doris, Kathy, Jim,
Jaime, and Ryan, Randy; Cheryl, Paul,
Nicole and Shonna; Gregory and Llsa;
Melanie and James; Shane. --18x .

Ladies learn
how to do a

Tie Bruce . Presbyterial United
Church Women held their April
meeting at Walkerton United
Church. The president, Betty
McCulloch, welcomed everyone,
and Lois Freiburger extended
greetings on behalf of the Pastoral
Charge and UCW.
Our thanks to Rev. Margaret Bain
who led the morning session on
"how to do Bible study." For Bible
study it is essential that you have a
good study Bible, a Bible dic-
tionary, and a Concordance. She led
us in our thoughts. on both short
term and longer term studies. she
reminded us never to take a passage
of scripture "out of context", and at
the end of a course we should al-
ways allow time to do some reflec-
tion. When sharing with others in a
group . we must remember it is
important to respect others'
opinions. She stressed that "anyone"
can lead a Bible study group.
Today the use of audio-visual
equipment is a must, as videos are
being used more and more as
educational tools. When planning to
use this form of resources it is
necessary that you preview the
material first, have the room and
equipment set up ready (ahead of
time), and be sure of copyrights.
Videos can be used for study or for
self -watching.
In the afternoon we welcomed.
Marilyn Coffman of Paisley, who.
came to speak to us on "keeping a
positive attitude m a stressful time.
She encouraged us to reflect on a
special gift (or value) which we
might offer as a legacy to our loved
ones: "Through reflection on some
examples, we note that faith is
restored through noticing the tan-
gible things such as beautiful sun-
sets and the singing of the birds.
Ruth Wolfe and Kae Crawford
reported on books and materials
available for sale, as well as
notifying everyone of the Bruce
Presbytery Resource Centre open
house and sale upcoming. There
was a time of sharing of various
fund-raising ideas.
The divisions met briefly to start
planning their programs for the
upcoming ',meetings. The next
meeting of the Executive will be
held at Mildmay on Monday, May
10, with the Stewardship Division
in charge.
Blanche McCulloch, on behalf of
the Paisley UCW, led in the closing
worship.
