Edna Stanley of Purple Grove
visited with Mary Jean Cumming in
Kincardine last Friday.
Laurence Stanley of Toronto and
Pine River visited Sunday with
Edna Stanley.

turned out to the tea in the Legion
Hall last Saturday afternoon and
again at night to the• Ripley com-
plex in honour of Harvey and
Wilda Thompson's 50th wedding
anniversary. Congratulations.

annual Horticultural meeting last
Saturday in Hensal.
Aurel and Marjorie Armstrong
were in Wingham visiting Aurel's
mother May Armstrong who will be
celebrating her 93rd birthday this
month.

the 75th general annual meeting of
the Canadian Co-operative Wool
Growers at Carleton Place last
weekend.

and Joyce Farrell were Mabel and
Don McEwan of Westford.
Sunday visitors with Earl and
June Elliott were Sherri and Ian
Elliott of Bracebridge. Francis and
Linton Zittler, Culross; Don and
Ann McCosh of Ripley, Tanya,
Tobi Kay and Jenny Farrell and
Robert Hunking, of Auburn, has an Impressive record of service
already, said Paul Klopp, MPP Huron, as he presented Mr.
Hunking his Canada 125 medal. His dedication to the promotion
of agriculture Iswell demonstrated by his Involvement for the
past nine years with the Junior Fanner organization, on all
levels, Including provincial director. He helped start the Huron
Volunteer Agricultural Awards program, has been active In the
promotion of Agri -food week, and been a 441 leader. Mr.
Hunking is active In local sports, coaching a broomball team
and serving as treasurer of the Seaforth-Egmondville Broombali
League. He Is currently serving his second teen on the Provin-
cial Beginning Farmers Assistance Program Review Committee.

Ontario club in the Canadian meet
in Kamloops, B.C. on Thanksgiving
weekend.
Thieves steal
bottoms only
GRIME STOPPERS
Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce are
seeking the public's assistance in
the investigation of a break, enter
and theft which occurred in Sauble
Beach, Ontario.
The Wiarton Detachment of the
Ontario Provincial Police report that
sometime between Nov. 13 and 27,
1992, unknown person(s) gained
entry to a cottage on 9th St. North
in Sauble Beach, by prying open a
bathroom window, and once inside,
stole a number of items, most of
which was clothing. The articles
included several sets of men's,
ladies, and children's snow suit
pants of various colours and sizes,
as well as some costume jewellery,
and one 20" colour TV. Although
complete sets of the snow suits
were present, only the bottoms were
taken.
Person(s) involved in this occur-
rence are believed to have been
driving a full size car or truck, and
the total value of the articles stolen
is estimated at over one thousand
dollars.
