events held in March such as Snow

musical presentation by Lenny
Graf. We have completed. our mural

send tri children in Tanzania.

In Grade 2/3 we are just about
done our unit on the Rainforest.
Just before. the March Break
everyone worked very hard and
together we completed a Rainforest
Mural. It is very colourful with lots
of Rainforest birds and animals. In
Math we are now learning our
times tables and many students are
practising them at home.
In the 3/4 class we are studying
about Bruce County. We' are the
first class done our young authors'
books. We all worked very hard
and are proud of your published
novels. We . enjoy.. using the
keyboard and are becoming better
typists. by William Young and
David Gillespie.
The Grade 4/5 class is geared up
for third term after our holiday! We
are currently finishingup our YAC
books. There are some very talented
authors' and illustrators in our class.
We are also working on solving
problems in preparation for STAR -
power week and will be stating a
new unit on paper. We wish Ellen
Husk a speedy recovery. We miss
you Ellen!
April 4-10 is Wildlife week. The
Grade 5/6 students are using this
theme in their Language Arts Ac-
tivities. The Grade fives are writing,
reading and researching whales
whereas the Grade 6 students are
concentrating on wild animals.
Constable Gaeler has introduced
two VIP themes entitled "Va-
ndalism and Authority Figures". We
are looking forward to his next visit
in April
The Grade 7/8s are glad to have
completed their young author's
books. In history the Grade 7s are
'studying the American Revolution
and Grade 8s' are researching infor-
mation about the building of the
Canadian Pacific Railway. We have
finished our unit on perspective in
Act with some . truly excellent
results. Printed and print making
are our next topics.
