Trinity Easy Money Makers
The Trinity Easy _ Money Makers
discussed reading the fine print of
warranties and Mail orders at their
fourth meeting on Mar. 23. The
meeting was held at Trinity Church.
Using the information they had
just learned, members made up
their own warranties.
They also had a recycling race
and judgeddifferent brands of
potato chips (the highlight of the
meeting).
New horse club
elects officers
For the Love of. Horses
The first meeting of this 4-H club,
For the Love of Horses, was held
on Mat. 25, at which time officers
were elected. Shelley Johnston is
president, with Sandra Alton as.
vice, Kathryn Alton as secretary,
Pani Hatherley as treasurer, an
Mandy Machan as press reporter.
The fundraising committee includes
Kala Johnston, Becky 'Johnston and
Shelley. Johnston.
Members talked about the ad-
vantages and' disadvantages of
stabling a. horse indoors and out-
doors. Discussion also took place
on fencing.°
With the Peewee team losing their
bid for the O.M.H.A. championship
this past weekend so ends another
busy season.
The' Ripley tyke teams will be
holding their fun day on Saturday
Mar. 27 beginning at 9 a.m. After
the games awards will be presented
on the .ice surface. Parents,
relatives and friends. are invited to
event:
The ringette season officially ends
this weekend when the Ripley petite
team travel to Rocklyn and the
junior squad travel to Mount Forest
for their year end tournament.
The Ripley novice team invite
their friends to participate in a fun
night on Thursday, Mar. 25 at 7
p.m. The petite team will host a
fun night for their friends .on
Friday, Mar. 26 at 4 p.m. • Bring
your skates and 'a .helmet and try
this exciting game.
The achievement night for the
ringette will be held on Thursday,
Apr. 8 at the Ripley -Huron complex
beginning at 7, p.m; for parents and
players.
Summer registration
With the thought of the ice going
out, athletes are busy planning their
summer activities. Ripley -Huron
Recreation will be holding
registration for baseball, softball
and soccer. Coaches and volunteers
are needed. For more information

Ripley -Huron Ringette
Novice
The Ripley girls ended their
season on a winning note on 'Stat
day, Mar. 21 when, they travelled to
-Tiverton. Megan Todd led the
attack scoring her first hat trick.

scored a pair of goals, and a single
goal was tallied by Jenna Walden.
Earning assists were Nicole Collins,
Cayley. MacDonald, Melissa Freer,
and Candice vanderHoek.
Tween
The twee girls travelled to
Walkerton on Mar. 17 to play an
eiehibition game. They defeated
their hosts 7-0: A pair of goals
were scored by Jenny MacDonald,
Denise Rintoul and Erin Rintoul.
Amy Farrell scored a single goal.
Assists were earned by Regan
Carruthers and Melanie Bannerman.
Sarah MacKay earned her first shut-
out of the year.
