They enjoyed sunny weather. with 77 degree temperatures for all but one day. Even the ocean seemed warmer than the hotel pool. Shopping in the numerous open- air stray.' markets and travelling about . in horse-drawn carriages proved to be much fun for the ladies. After a relaxing two hour cruise, a beautiful day was spent on Rose Island, which culminated in a delicious barbecue dinner before heading back to Nassau. We are sorry to report that Eldon Austin is currently a patient in University Hospital, London, having been transferred from Wingham. Best wishes . for a speedy and full recovery, Eldon. We're happy to report that Dick Park has returned home following a stay in University Hospital, London. A very special greeting goes out to Bill Naegel who celebrated his . .92nd birthday on Mar. 12. Three of our local couples celebrated anniversaries in march. Best wishes are extended to Nels and Gloria Pearson, who celebrated their 49th anniversary on Mar. 18, to Harvey and Beck Culbert, who. celebrated 45 years of marriage on Mar. 27, and to K.K. and Helen Dawson, who -celebrated their 51st anniversary on Mar. 25. Over 20 members of the Dungan- non Seniors Club attended the Town and Country St. Patrick's Day Program which was held in Lucknow at the Legion Hall on Mar. 27. Following the Irish program, a time of dancing was enjoyed by all. Eleven tables were filled for the weekly euchre party held on Mar. 24, at the Seniors Hall. Finishing this week in the winners' circle were . Bernice Henry, Harold Gardner and Al Dickson. UCW Twelve members. of the Dungan- non/Nile UCW met at the home of Margaret Errington on Mar. 23. This meeting had been postponed by one week due to inclement weather. The rollcall was answered by each member who recited an Irish verse or related an amusing incident. In the absence of president Donna Young, vice-president Jean Er- rington conducted the meeting, opening with the Call of Christ.. Worship and Bible Study with the theme of "World Outreach", was conducted by Beth Rutledge and Willetta McWhinney. Beth read the Sheep Herder's version of the 23rd Psalm, followed by Vicky Linka reading the same- passage in her native language from her Romanian Bible. Gloria Pearson read the 23rd r,.
