Seminar will help heal
the sexually abused
Other than those who have -suf-
fered the pain of sexual abuse, no
one knows the wounds left.
A seminar titled "Healing From
the Hurt of Sexual Abuse" will
feature Audrey McRonald, who was
abused as a child. Mrs. McRonald
found healing and freedom from
pain after she became a Christian.
Now through her workshops and
seminars, Mrs. McRonald wants to
help others to be healed. She will
share her own story as well as
going through seven steps of
healing.
The seminar is open to both men
and women, those who have been
abused, those who are ministering
to or living with someone who has
been abused, or those who want to
learn what they can do to fight this
kind of abuse.
The seminar will be held on Wed-
nesday, Apr. ,7, at 7:30 p.m. at the
Christian Reformed Church in
Lucknow.

To the editor:
Just wanted to say thank you to
you at the Lucknow Sentinel for the
limousine trip for four to the Maple
Leaf Gardens. My boys and I had
an exciting time.
One of the most fun parts of
being in a limousine is the looks
you get! It was a time we will all
remember.

To the editor:
February was Heart Month and
once again the good people of
Lucknow have given generously
when the Heart and Stoke Foun-
dation canvassers knocked on their
door's. A total of $1,640.30 was
collected in the village.
Firstly, I would like to say thank
you to all the people who donated
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
and secondly a thank you to the
canvassers the Kinettes and their
spouses.

Golsen Retriever is winner on show circuit

With six of them in the family, it
would be safe to say the Guichelaar
,family loves dogs. But one dog has
a, special place in Alice.
Guichelaar's heart. And that dog is
Toby - a two-year-old, 80 lb.
purebred Golden Retriever.
Toby And her sister Trixie, at the
age of eight weeks, became a part
of the Guichelaar family. Although
both are of "show" quality, only
Toby is on the circuit. Until this
month, Toby had two thirds and a
fourth place ribbon. On March 5
and 6, Toby competed at the Oran-
geville and District Kennel Club
Show and brought home a second
prize. Alice is sure Toby is going
places and it won't be long before
she takes a first place ribbon.
Alice does not show Toby herself.
She prefers to hire a professional
handler for the show ring and uses
"one of the best in Ontario" Jen-
nifer McAuley. Alice said there is a
lot of "politics" involved in the
ring.
While the future looks bright for
Toby as. she struts her stuff in the
ring, there is also another special
occasion waiting in the wings. Alice
says, "I have found a husband for.
her, but the honeymoon is still to
come." The `husband' hales from
the Chrys Haefen Kennel at Scot-
land. That's Scotland, Ontario, near
Hamilton. Alice's goal is for Toby
to be the first mother of puppies
that will form. the base for her ,
future kennel.
Unfortunately Toby's sister,
Trixie, cannot be used for breeding
purposes. A hip problem was
recently discovered. The pkennel,
- where the two Golden Retrievers .
were purchased, honored their •
guarantee and now Alice has
another Retriever, Tiffy, as part of
the family.
In addition to looking after her
own dogs, Alice runs a small at
home business grooming others'
dogs.
