ray, born at Listowel Memorial
Hospital, Mar. 5, 1993, weighing 8
lbs. 12 oz; a little brother for

ford and Enid Roesler of Pembroke.

out and destroyed his home.

Once again this winter this area.
was fortunate to escape the worst of
a winter storm. Anyone heading `for
Florida for the March break on the
weekend wouldn't be quite as luck

Bruce, Barb Willits and family
and Shelley Gollan arrived home on
Wednesday after spending two and
half weeks on a trip to Florida. On
the way south they visited with
cousins in Virginia for a couple of
days.
Sympathy is extended to the
family of Bill Adamson who passed
away in London hospital. Funeral

the MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral home.
Lois Chanu3ey and Lillian Irvin
took high spots at the St. Helen's
Shoot party. Low positions went to
Cora Clayton and John Lyons. Most
shoots was won by Vera Purves and
the lucky card winner was Edna
Young. The next party is Mar. 23.
William Charles Adamson
William. (Bill) Charles Adamson
of Alvinston, formerly of Lucknow
and Brussels, died at University
Hospital, London, on Mar. 10,
1993, in his 66th year. Mr. Adam-
son was a World War II veteran
and at the ruble of his death a mem-
ber of the Royal..Canadian Legion
Branch 249 (Alvinston). •
He was born in Toronto
Township of November 17, 1927, a
son of the late Percy and Mabel
()?dell) Adamson.
Mr. Adamson is survived by his
wife Joyce (McBride) of Alvinston.
He also leaves to mourn his
passed five children: 'Doug of Luck -
now, Diana, Mrs. Jim Ford of
Strathroy, Torn of Lucknow,. Terry
of Edmonton,. Alberta, and Rodger
of Indonesia, and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Adamson is also survived by
three sisters, Betty Scheid of Allis-
ton, Ruth Arnett of Wasaga Beach
and Glenna Lee of Norval.
Visitation was at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home, Luck -
now from where the service was
conducted by:Rev. Dan Armstrong
on Mar. 13 at 1:.30 -p.m.

• R. Farish. Moffat
A former resident of the town of
Wingham, R. Farish Moffat. of
Etobicoke, passed away at St.
Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on
Wednesday, Mar. 10, 1993. He Was
80 years of age and death followed
a brief struggle with. cancer.
Robert Farish Moffat was bom in
Kinloss Township on Aug. 12;
1912, a son of the late Mr. and
Mrs.•Foster Moffat. He attended SS
No. 8, Kinloss, and completed his
education at the Teeswater Con-
tinuation School. For several years,
he farmed in Kinloss Township,
where he was active in municipal
and community life. He was a

Council; an agent, director and past
president of the Culross Mutual
Insurance Company; Past Master of
Teeswater Masonic Lodge #276 and
Past Patron of Huron Chapter #89,
Order of the Eastern Star, Win-

-After moving to Wingham, where
he and his wife ,resided on Minnie
Street, Mr. Moffat was employed as
a bookkeeper and clerk at Fred
MGee Auto Electric. He retired in
February of 1983.
At the time of his death, Mr.
Moffat was a member of Rexdale
Presbyterian Church, Etobicoke and
belonged to Lakeshore Chapter
#257,' Order of the Eastern Star,
Etobicoke and Heritage Court #13,
Order of the Amaranth, Missis-
sauga.
Left to mourn his passing are •his
wife, the former Kathleen MacKen-
zie of Lucknow who was married to
Mr. Moffat on June 22, 1938, at the
Whitechurch Presbyterian manse;
one son, Gordon Moffat of Toronto
and two sisters, Margaret Moffat of
Toronto and Isabel Ross of
Lindsay;

He was predeceased by one siker.,
Marne Donaldson and a - brother,
Graham Moffat.
Friends paid their respects at the
McBurney Funeral Home; Win-
gham, where a Memorial service
was conducted Mar. 12, by. Huron.
Chapter #89, Order of the Eastern
Star and Teeswater Masonic Lodge
#276. The funeral was held Mar. 13
at 1:30, Rev. J. Rea- Grant of-
ficiating. Spring interment will take
place • in - Culross-Teeswater
Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Dave
Moffat, Fred McGee, Gordon Wall,
Ron Lamont, Eric Bessler, Jerry
Peckford, John McCord, Frank
Sutton and Ronald Ross.
