Goaltender Adam Martin also
registered two assists m addition to
his strong play in the net.
Lucknow vs Huron
Lucknow again started strong in
their second game as Tyler
Hamilton scored two unassisted
goals in the first shift against Huron
Township.
Bob Raymond from Michael
Fischer and Nigel Black and
Hamilton unassisted again made it
4 - 0 before Trent Devitt scored
from Teresa Wylds at the intermis-
sion.
Lucknow then scored 11 times to
sandwich two goals by Huron
Township's Ben Scott.
Mark Hackett put in four of those
and Raymond added three more,
Hamilton two, while Derek Quinlan
and Brad Gilchrist added singles.
Assists on .those goals went to
Dustin Farrish,. Gilchrist and
Hackettwith two each while Black,
Fischer, Blair Morrison, Lesley
Morrison and Quinlan chalked up
singles. Final score was 15 - 3 and
put the host. team into the cham-
pionship final, '
Lucknow vs Clifford
This gave Lucknow 28 goals for
their first two games but they were
up against Clifford who had 32
goals for and only two goals against
at that point. Clifford, although
playing with only eight skaters and
on an hour's rest, came out strong
firing in two quick goals in a 'min-
ute and a half of play.
Novice "B" do
well in playoffs
The Novice "B" team played
exceptionally well in four games of
the playoffs.
on Feb. 26 Lucknow visited
Teeswater to bring home a .3 - 2
win. Scott Austin claimed the hat
trick with assists to Tim Holmes on
the first And to Jordon Schell on the
second goal.
Lucknow hosted Teeswater the
next night allowing the visitors to
go home with a 4 - 1 win. Scott
Austin scored, for Lucknow, with
assists going to Cory Robertson and
Jeremy Austin.
On Feb. 28, Lucknow travelled to
Normanby for an action -packed
game. Both teams had two goals at
the end of the third. In overtime,
Lucknow .scored twice; once by
Cory Robertson unassisted, and the
second by Jeremy Austin _ assisted
by his brother Scott.

The home team then came back
as Sandy Lougheed's pass sent
Tyler Hamilton in for their first
goal. Bob Raymond then scored
twice as first his right winger
Dustin Farrish and then his left
winger Brian Goetz drew assists.
Mark Hackett's unassi ;ted shot into
the top corner made it 4 - 2 before
Clifford scored again. Wingers
Jesse Johnston and David Conley
did the digging on Hamilton'ssec-
ond goal but Clifford refused to
give up and ran off three straight
for a 6 - 5 lead. Raymond's unas-
sisted buzzer beater with one sec-
ond to play in the second sent the
teams to the dressing rooms tied 6 -
6.
Clifford took the early lead in the
third before Raymond collected his
fourth goal of the game on a nice
set up from wingers Farrish and
Michael Fischer. Defenceman
Lougheed then did a solo rush
down the ice to score unassisted
and give his team a late 8 - 7 lead.
However, the never say die
Clifford players poked one in to
knot the score with two minutes to
play. Lucknow put on the power
but couldn't get the winner and the
game ended in a tie.
Tournament rules dictated a shoot
out to.decide the winner with all
five players shooting for both
teams. Clifford's Dan Richardson
collected his fourth goal of the
game to . send his team ahead by
one before goalie Adam Martin
blanked the rest of the squad.
First Hamilton and then Lougheed
dented the mesh with high shots to
register the only goals Lucknow
would need in securing a 10 - 9
triumph over . the determined
Clifford entry. -
