The girls advanced to the consola-
tion championship were they once
more met the Dorchester team.
This proved to be a very interesting
game. Dorchester dominated the
first .half taking a 5-0 lead over the
Ripley club. The Ripley girls never
gave up their hard efforts and
fought back in the second period to
score four unanswered Foals. Erin
Rintoul tallied a hat trick assisted
by Regan Carruthers and Carolyn
Gattinger and Reagan Courtney
found the top corner of the net after
she picked up a pass from Melanie
Bannerman. With less than a min-
ute left in play, Ripley pulled their
goalie, and applied pressure. They
had three good shots on net but the
Dorchester goalie was determined
not to let anything M. At the sound
of the buzzer, Dorchester claimed a
narrow 5-4 victory. Sarah MacKay
played a great game in net through-
out the weekend and are to be
commended on their efforts.
