Ripley; meet Drayton next
In game .two of the best of three
series Lucknow and Ripley Novice
"A" played to a 2-2 overtime tie to
leave the series at Lucknow three
points and Ripley one point.
Ripley lead 1-0 after one_ period.
Lucknow tied it up at 6:27 of the
second, on a goal by Ricky Andrew
assisted by. Devin Petteplace.
Ripley took a 2-1 lead in the third
period but with only one second left
in regulation time Russell Mann
scored from Devin Petteplace to tie
the score 2-2. The teams played a
10 minute overtime but no one
could score the winner.
Game three
On Sunday Lucknow travelled to
Ripley for the third game of their
playoff series.
Ripleyopened the scoring but
Lucknow scored two quick goals to

take a 2-1 lead. Russell Mann
scored unassisted and Jeff McNee
scored from Bob Raymond.
Ripley tied the score at 2-2 but
with on!; five seconds left in the
first Mann scored from Brian Stan-
ley and Ricky Andrew to give
Lucknow a 3-2 lead after one
period.
Both teams played a scoreless
second period.
Ripley tied the game at three
early in the third but Lucknow's
McNee scored the winner with
assists to Raymond and Dan
McDonagh,
Lucknow now goes on the meet
Drayton in the next round of the
playoffs. First game in Drayton and
second game in Lucknow tomorrow
night at 7:00 p.m. Come and watch

On Feb. 12, the Novice "B" team
hosted Teeswater. The visitors went
home with a 6-1 win. Lucknow's
goal was scored by Luke Van Osch
with .assistance from Derek
Hoggart.
Normanby and Lucknow played
an action packed game on Feb. 13.
Lucknow's first goal came from
Jeremy Austin with an assist from
Jordon Schell, to tie the game.
With four seconds left in, the last
period, Lucknow's Scott Austin
scored the winner with. the assist
coming from his 'brother Jeremy.
Final score Lucknow 2,
Normanby 1.

After winning 5-2 in the opening
game of playoffs the Pee Wee "A"
team travelled to Howick for game
two where they defeated them 5-0
for shutout number one.
In the third game in Lucknow, the
hometown team managed to put
Howick out in three games straight
with a 7-0 score. Goals were by
Tim Vissor, Jonathan Chilton, Craig
Moffat, George Carter, Chad Free-
man,. Ean' Moffat and Greg
Courtney. Assists were " by C.
Moffat, Brent Cameron (2), Ean
Moffat, Greg Courtney (2) Tim
Vissor, Chad Freeman and George
Carter (2).
Good effort guys and nice shut-
outs Jordan.
Great defensive work was
exhibited by Brent Cameron, Cam
Moffat, Greg Courtney and Nathan
Ferguson.
Pee Wee
house league
defeated by
Belmore
The Pee Wee house league
travelled to Belmore on Feb. 19 to
play the second game of their round
robin playoff series.
Lucknow looked alert in the first
two periods holding Belmore at a
two. goal lead.
In the third. nothing seemed to
work for Lucknow and Belmore
came on strong -with four more
markers. The final score was 6-0
for Belmore.
