fought back to tie the game and
force overtime.

bad for Lucknow until with two
minutes left, Rob McGee tied the
game assisted by Mark Stanley.

clock, Jeff Andrew's aggressive
play at the goal crease earned him

Lucknow Bantams face
off with Teeswater in
best of five series
The Lucknow Bantam "A” team
faced off with Teeswater itt their
WOAA series.
The first game took place in
Lucknow on Feb. 15 with Ryan
Courtney in net.
Chad Moffat opened the scoring
and beat the Teeswater goalie twice
to put' Lucknow up two, before
Teeswater scored their first. Jason
Dredge and Glenn Ferguson
assisted on Moffat's first two.
Moffat completed his hat trick . in
the second period, assisted by
Dredge again.
Lucknow applied more pressure
and scored three more goals in the
second period to make the score 6-2
for Lucknow as the second ended.
Steve Clarance scored from Jeff
Porter and Kevin Rintoul. Moffat
scored twice more, once from
Ferguson and Dredge and. once
unassisted.
Teeswater played more intense
hockey during the third and added
two more goals.
The game was plagued by pen-
alties on both sides. Final score
Lucknow 6, Teeswater 4 and a total
of five goals for Chad Moffat.
Ryan Courtney played well in the
net to keep Teeswater on the short
side of the scoreboard and give
Lucknow the first game in the
series.
BANTAM
Game two
Mark Chilton was between the
pipes for the second game in
Teeswater on Feb. 19. Ryan
Courtney dressed as a right winger
to give Lucknow two complete
lines.
Teeswater came out flying and
good end-to-end rushes were set up
with Teeswater finally scoring to
take a one goal lead at the end of
the first
Lucknow seemed lack lustre and
struggled to get an offensive attack
organized until late in the second
when Ed Courtney scored from Jeff
Porter. Within a minute Glenn
Ferguson tipped one in from Porter
and Courtney.
In the third period, momentum
picked up with each team taking
more penalties. Chilton made some
very sharp saves in the net to hold
the game at a 3-3 tie as regular
time expired.
An overtime of 10 minutes was
played and through intensive end-
to-end rushes, good goal tending
and solid defence, the tie remained
forcing a third game in Teeswater
on Feb. 22, too late to make press
deadline for this week.
