The Lucknow Bantam "A" team ►
participated in the annual. Paisley
tournament on the weekend. B ANTAM
Lucknow dressed 11 skaters and
one goalie to meet Wiarton in their
first game. This game saw hard t,daches for the day were Steve
hitting by both teams. Simpson, Ron Schell, • Dan
Wiarton being a bigger team took MacDonald. Murray Moffat was
the edge in penalties. During the kept busy all day as trainer. Steve
first period both teamsscored one MacPherson arrived just in time for
each. Jeff Porter scored from Steve the last game with recruits Colin
Clarence and Eric .Andrew. Becker and Mike Menary. Steve
The second period saw Lucknow assumed coaching duties and Colin

This, game saw Lucknow face off
against regular season rivals.
Lucknow played well for this game
and came away with a 2-0 score
over Teeswater. As a result they.
would be playing Paisley in the
consolation final.
Paisley vs Lucknow
Lucknow played well but lacked
size and played catch up hockey
after Paisley took two quick goals.
Final score 5-1 as Lucknow
scored late in the third to rob Pais-
ley of a shut -out.
Lucknow players deserve some
credit in a valiant effort, being short
David Adams and Jason Dredge to
start the day. Mark Chilton, a reg-
ular in net, played forward all day.
Ryan Courtney faced numerous
shots from Wiarton and Paisley and
caused many frustrated reactions
from both teams.
Unfortunately Eric Andrew has a
broken collar bone and .Glenn
Ferguson is off due ' to muscle
spasms in neck and back area.

Lancers
The Lucknow Lancers ended the
regular schedule on Saturday night
as the locals took a 12-7 loss in
Grand Valley.
Scott Hackett provided most of
the Lancer offence with four goals
while Brad Priestap, Chris Irwin
and Brian Taylor added singles.
Saturday's loss left the Lancers in
third place behind Grand Valley
and Dundalk.
Playoffs begin next week with
Lucknow playing Lions - Head,
Grand Valley against Tiverton,
Dundalk with Teeswater and Ripley
lime. tackles Mildmay.
Lucknow faces Chesley in first The Lancers host Lion's Head on

Wingham visited Lucknow Jan-
uary 23 and played to.a 2-2 tie. The
goals scored in • the first period,
came off the sticks of Jeremy
Austin and Jordan Schell: Assists
went to Matt Pritchard and Luke
Van Osch.
Despite the blustery weather on,
January 29, Lucknow was able to •
travel to Belmore. The host team
won the game 2 - 0. Great
goaltending by Bi1I'y Johnston.
Wingham outplayed Lucknow on
January 30 handing the visiting
team a 6-1 loss. Scott Austin,
scored Lncknow's only goalwith
the assist going to Jeremy Austin.
