Pee Wee "B" ' host one game and play. two on the road

was quite busy over the, past week-
. end
eek•end playing three games in as many
days.
Friday night Kincardine came to —
town. Lucknow came out in the
first period sticking fairly close to
Kincardine despite a two -goal lead.
In the second Kincardine opened
their lead considerably. In the thud,
after being robbed . several times,
Lucknow's Daryl Aitchison found
his Way past the Kincardine
netminder. A minute later Gabrielle
Clarence fed the puck to Taylor
EE WEE
Mali who put it hoine.
Kincardine went on to'w.in 11-2.
Lucknow vs Walkerton '
On.Safurday night in Walkerton,
Lucknow skated well during the
first period but remained scoreless.
Good netminding by Lucknow's
Jeff Cranston kept Walkerton at bay
as well.
In the second. period, Walkerton
pulled ahead, and despite the team's
best efforts, Lucknow couldn't get
.the puck past the Walkerton goal
crease.
In. the third, Gabrielle Clarence
found a weak, spot of the goalie on
a nice pass from Shane Petteplace
and Martyn VanMeeteren. Late in
the period, T.J. Clough scored with
a super backhand shot from a good
pass from Taylor Mali.Walkerton
went on to win 6-2.

The Pee Wee "B" team hosted Kincardine on Friday night and came out on the short end of the

Ripley vs Lucknow
On Sunday night,' before a
hometown crowd, the team played
one of their best games to date.
The game started at a fast pace
and was end-to-end action in the
first period. Lucknow's • Daryl
Aitchison opened the scoring as a
finale to a nice passing play
between Richard Walke'and Sean
Lougheed. Ripley replied, with two
goals, then Walke scored to tie on
a nice passing play from Gavin
Colwell and Aitchison.
Ripley pulled ahead with three
more goals, but in the second
period, Aitchison made good on a
setup from Lougheed. The game
was quick -paced and Ripley hit
home again several times.
Late in the third period, Aitchison
planted a third goal, between the
Ripley pipes, assisted by Shane
Petteplace, for a hat trick, of the
night.
The game ended Ripley 8,
Lucknow 4: To Lucknow's credit,
they were playing well, passing a
lot and getting considerable
chances. Good luck next week!
Novice B play in. tourney
The Novice "B" team played
weekend games in Normanby on
January 9 and 10. It was a fun -
filled, exciting weekend for the
team.
'Saturday morning, Lucknow took
a 5-3 win with goals going to Scott
Austin (2) and Jordan Schell (3).
Assists went to Jeremy Austin and
Cory Robertson.
The afternoon game against Elora
saw Lucknow score one goal to
their three. It came off the stick of
Jeremy Austin, assisted by Scott
Austin and Shea Dickie.
Sunday.'s game kept the crowd
cheering "and hopping in the stands
as Listowel took a 3-2 win.
Lucknow's first goal came,off the

The game was tied at the end of
the third period and eventually went
into five rounds of overtime. With
a hard team effort Listowel man-
aged to get the break and score the
winning goal.
Honourable mention goes to
Lucknow's man between the posts -
Billy Johnston - for all the great
saves: Job well done! Great games.

On January 13, the team travelled
to Ripley with the Austin brothers
scoring Lucknow's only two goals.
Jeremy and Scott took turns with.
the goats and assists. Final score
Ripley 3, Lucknow 2.
When Teeswater visited, Lucknow
managed to hold on to a shut out.
Scoring for the hometown team
were. Scott Austin assisted • by ,
Jeremy Austin, and Matt Pritchard
unassisted.
