Along with balloons and noise ,makers, the -first 10 ladies to arrive at the dance received a white and silver corsage. The crowd danced away the last hours of 1992to the melodic strains of the band named Shades; from Stratford, After 1993 was welcomed in the traditional manner, a hot buffet was served. on January 26, the Society will hold its annual meeting at the Agri- cultural Hall, commencing with a social time at 6:30 -p.m. The pot luck supper will -begin at 7 p.m., with . a guest speaker to follow. Bout teams. played to a scoreldss first period. In the second ' period, Ricky Andrew gave Lucknow a one goal lead on an "assist from Russell Mann. Nine seconds later Devin Petteplace blasted one in ' from the blue line with an assist by Andrew. Teeswater scored a goal near the' end of the second period to make it 2-1 for Lucknow after two. In the third period, Teeswater tied the game at two with less than four minutes to play. With 1:22 left Brian, Stanley scored the winner with assists from Tyler Hamilton and Bob Rayrtlond. Jason Pentland came roaring out. of the penalty box and scored the insurance marker with an assist from Stanley. Final score Lucknow 4, Teeswater 2. Lucknow vs Mildmay In the next round Lucknow and Mildmay played a scoreless first period. In period two with 1:37 left Devin Petteplace made a rink length dash and scored the eventual game win- ner unassisted. In the third period Russell Mang put one . home assisted by Tyler Hamilton and Ricky Andrew. Goalie Blue Wiens made nurner- OViCE ous good saves and deserved the shutout. Lucknow vs Drayton The two game win advanced Lucknow to the "A" championship game against Drayton. Drayton's "centreman Scott Dobben proved too much for the home boys as he scored four goals and one assist to lead his team to victory. Drayton led by one at the end of one period of play. Lucknow's Tim Eadie tied the game up with an assist from Jeff McNee. Before the second period a ended, Drayton scored to lead 2-1. Drayton went ahead by two goals early in the third, but with only two minutes left Russell Mann scored to cut the lead to 3-2.' Devin Petteplace assisted on the goal. Drayton scored two quick goals before the end of the period to. make the final score Drayton 5, Lucknow 2.
