Ayton took a one goal lead but Lucknow's Russell Mann scored an unassisted goal to tie the game. Ayton scored again to lead by one at the end of the first period. ' Lucknow's Tim Eadie tied the game up in the second assisted by Darlene Aitchison and Jeff McNee. Ayton scored the only goal of the third to come away with the 3-2 win. Finally Petteplace 'found- the spot assisted by Christy Clough which boosted. the team morale somewhat.
