Humboldt -Deutz AG, Cologne, West Germany, manufac-
turer of the Deutz -Fahr air-cooled diesel tractors, and
rotary haymaking equipment. The firm began marketing a
rectangular baler in the U.S. and Canada in 1982; its round
balers, widely used in Europe, are new to North America.
The Deutz -Fahr GP 220 Round Baler makes bales 4 ft.
wide by 4 ft. diameter in a baling chamber equipped with
16 coated steel rollers. Bales have a soft core and an ex-
tremely tight outer wrap layer to assure maximum quality
and minimum leaf loss. The baler ties automatically,
reducing driver fatigue and virtually guaranteeing
uniformly -shaped round bales. The first Deutz -Fahr round
halers should reach dealer show -rooms in the U.S. and
Canada early in 1984.❑
Moisture tester
The Agrofarm automatic grain moisture tester operates
on high frequency radio waves, automatically adjusting 1000 psi
for ambient temperature. The tester is completely portable
