Sorry about that!
We would like to correct some er-
rors made in the article "A taste for
blondes" in your Aug. issue. A ma-
jority of our Blondes are 50 per cent.
Two years ago we purchased a
purebred bull from Red Deer, Alber-
ta and recently a fullblood bull from
Baden, Ont. With these additions our
intent is to bring our Blonde percen-
tage up to purebred with more
fullblood additions in the future.
The weaning weight of our calves is
500 to 600 lbs. not the printed 75 to
100 lbs. The heifer and bull calves
sold at Shelburne and Kitchener were
from other Ontario Blonde herds.
We were otherwise pleased with the
article and the opportunity to ac-
quaint other farmers with the Blonde
d'Acquitanes.
