colonial powers still keep the country in

Clean Silo -Clean Chute
At last a popular priced silo unloader
that forms its own chute inside your
silo. You never need to climb a dirty
chute again.

Acorn Champion's inside chute also
means fewer trips up the silo since
there is no need to change doors. The
unique, effective, wall drive keeps
the silage pack level, unloading your
silo wall to wall. Acorn's design
eliminates troublesome surface
drives and complicated ring drives.
The drive wheel cannot dig into the
silage pack. Fewer moving parts and
simple design mean a longer and
more trouble free life.
Acorn's chain saw action rips even
the toughest frozen silage off the
pack, with far less horsepower. Stop

In other business Bill Jongejan, vice
president of the Ontario Christian Far-
mers Federation, reported on the work
the provincial board has been co-ordinat-
ing on a structure for a mediation board
to meet with farmers in financial trouble.
After discussing the problems with
members of the banking community,
several board members approached the
Minister of Agriculture, Dennis Timbrell,
and presented their brief. After a meeting
between the ministry, CFFO, and OFA,
some changes were agreed upon which
include a four member board consisting
of farmers picked from a list drawn up in
each county with the help of local OMAF
reps, CFFO and OFA who will submit a
list of people willing to be on the board.
The mediation board will help farmers
avoid using strong arm tactics and help
present more accurate figures on how
many farms are actually in trouble.
Jongejan also outlined some of the
agenda of the Provincial meeting and
encouraged members to come to the
meeting to keep abreast of some impor-
tant topics coming up.
