at the Walton Sales Arena. "It's an
excellent place to show cattle off,"
says Mrs. Jackson." "The fall sale is
our way of promoting the breed."
The sale isn't a case of in one door,
up on the block, and out another
door. Exhibitors and members of the
staff at the sales arena do quite an
elaborate job of fussing up the beasts,
and getting them ready for the
auction. It seems almost labour of
love.
Anyone interested in the breed can
become a member of the club, not
just residents of the two counties. The
president is Lorne Faust of South-
ampton. Besides the fall sale, the club
has its annual meeting every April
and a picnic and demonstration every
July. The executive meets every
month or six weeks. Anyone interes-
ted in joining the club can contact
Mrs. Jackson of R.R. I, Durham
(NOG IRO).
MI's well that ends well. It was a full house for the 5th annual Grey -Bruce Simmental
Sale at the Walton Sales Arena near Durham in October. The sale average was up
slightly from last year, at $1.337.
