Nevertheless, he was able to get a story and some quick shots for an exclusive feature for THE RURAL VOICE, starting on page 6. We've also presented a two -fold story on plowing matches. One article, by Alice Gibb, features Duncan Carmichael who hosted the last Interna- tional match held in Middlesex county in 1928. The other story features Allan Scott and the match in Middlesex county on his farm this year. We have a collection of photographs taken from past plowing matches. Do you remember hearing about the match that never was - "Huron for Hospitality" in 1942, cancelled because of the war? Thought we'd like to mention who is responsible for our Farm Follies cartoon we've been publishing for several months now. It's Ann Nesbit who farms with her husband John just north of Blyth. We welcome her contribution (page 46). More from John DePutter - an article about crop analyst Conrad Leslie and his views; a submission by Mary Eadie, Holyrood on her Junior Farmer trip to the British Isles and parts of Europe. And much much more. Hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it to-gether. MANAGING EDITOR: Sheila Gunby ADVERTISING MANAGER: Beverley Brown.
