The OFA Tax Committee brought in the report of Property Taxation of Farms and Management Woodlots. Under this new proposal the gross production criteria would be increased from $5000-$12000. OFA recommended that 56000 be the production criteria. Receipts from livestock sales could be included only if the livestock were resident on the farm for a specified number of days. An amendment will be introduced in 1982 whereby farm residences will be assessed the same as other residences. The Grey County Property and Taxation committee will study this proposal.
