Sharing
Part of this April Rural Voice is about sharing. We've
described some very helpful arrangements that some area
farmers have made for joint ownership of expensive pieces of
farm machinery. How does it work? Read Sheila Gunby's
story on page 6.
We at Rural Voice are also asking you, our readers to do
some sharing with us this month. In this issue, on page 13,
we've included a readership survey, asking what you like and
don't like, what you read and what you don't read in Rural
Voice. Will you take a mniute, give us your opinion and return
it in soon. by April 25 if possible? What we hear from you will
help us plot the magazine's future direction. Marks.
Another thanks is in order to the many readers who took
time to let Rural Voice advertisers know they read and value
their messages in the magazine. A special thanks to a really
keen Rural Voice fan out there somehwere: "I've seen your
ad in Rural Voice and I like it", he told one agribusiness.
Trouble is, that particular advertiser had never used the
magazine for his message. Now he's at least thinking about it.
Coming up again soon is our third [doesn't seem possible'
annual Rural Voice kids competition. We'll print the best of
their art. poetry and stories in our June kids' issue. See page
22 for details and the deadline is May .?
This month's Rural Voice is a big issue with stories on what
a farm management consultant can do for you; trends and tips
in leasing land; farm safety hazards you perhaps hadn't
thought of and, for a break, a story about where farmers go on
holidays with an interview with one of the province's top
agricultural trip organizers.
Oh, yes, and this month we've got the second in a series of
gardenino rol,, +ns by Shelly Paulicik. Please chare our
enthusiasm that fresh vegetabiesJor summer meals are on y u
short time away.
See you in May
