Using common sense
Fixing or adjusting farm machinery while it is still running is a
dangerous practice. Shutting a machine off removes most of the
hazards associated with fast moving equipment. The extra time
and steps required are well worth it when you consider the
possibility of a serious injury. Next time, before you fix or adjust
any equipment, make sure it is shut off, and all moving parts have
stopped.
