Here's a special recipe from New Brunswick that uses maple syrup, a commodity that should be in good supply by the time you read this April Rural Voice. MAPLE SYRUP GINGERBREAD New Brunswick's spring, with its warm days and frosty nights, provides the perfect combination for the production of a good run of maple sap. Combine syrup, cream and egg. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into liquid. Beat well. Add melted butter and beat again. Pour into well -buttered 9x x2 inch baking dish and bake uncovered ip1 a 350°F. oven about 30 minutes. i Last but not least is an heirloom recipe, from a Nova Scotia cookbook called The Blueberry Connection. by Beatrice Ross Buszek.
