How to buy:
Just contact your local Crop Insurance
agent. He will visit your farm, at your
convenience, to discuss the program. At
that time, you'll sign an application and
pay a deposit of $1.00/acre. Later, after
the crop is planted, the balance of the
premium will be collected as your agent
records your final planted acreage.

Last year the Crop Insurance Commission of Ontario paid
out more than $12 million to farmers whose crops were
damanged by naturil hazards like wind, hail, frost and
drought. Your crops can have the same guaranteed
protection this season. Everything you need to know is
detailed in information brochures available through your
local Agent, Agricultural office or the Crop Insurance
Commission. Pamphlets cover Hay and Pasture, New
Forage Seeding, General Information and rates and how to
use your insurance as loan security.
You'll read how Crop Insurance guarantees a certain
specific level of production from your farm and how, if your
actual production is less you can claim the differnce.
Crop insurance is a good idea - the more you know about
it, the better. Contact your nearby agent, Agricultural office
or write:
