CENTRE STAGE AT TALBOT THEATRE
Ken Livingstone, artistic director of the
Centre Stage and his troupe in London will
be performing in Talbot Theatre as well as
in the McManus studio this season.
Livingstone's troupe first started off with
the Gallery Theatre on York Street, then
created the now -vanished New Space on
Albert Street and next opened the pocket
theatre in the City Centre Mall in London.
None of them were big enough to get
adequate box-office revenues and then City
Centre reclaimed its space last fall after
four years.
Theatre London artistic director William
Hutt last month invited Livingstone to
make use of the McManus Studios for
February and April, but couldn't offer it for
Livingstone's March show. Now, Living-
stone has obtained Talbot Theatre on the
UWO campus for that remaining show.
Casting has been announced for the
Centre Stage's opening McManus produc-
tion of David Mamet's play, The Woods,
which will co-star Tom Arnott who was in
three previous works for Centre Stage and
Angela Gei who was praised last summer
for her role in the Peter Colley thriller, I'll
Be Back For You Before Midnight at the
Blyth Summer Festival.
She will also appear on Theatre London's
main stage later this spring as Laura in the
Glass Menagerie.
