day to be with her sister -in -taw.
Mrs. John Blair returned borne un
Wednesday from Buffalo, where she
was called two weeks ago owing to
tbe Illnem of ber daughter, Mrs. Doyle,
who underwent an operation for the
removal of ber appendix. Mrs. Doyle
was able to be home from the .hoa-
vital before Mrs Blair lett.
Ernie Powell, who suffered from
pneumonia, Is much improved.
Mrs. Bert Cox is able to sit up a
short time each day.
Mr, and Mrs. Leslie Cox were in
London Saturday.
Owing to the illness of Rev. R. M.
Gale, Rev. C. W. D. Covens, of Clin-
ton, bed charge of the service on Sup -
day and delivered a fine sermon on
Love. Quite a number were out, but
owing to the ley condition of the roads
it is rather dangerous for either ears
or horses. Next Sunday we trust
Hev. Mr. Gale will be sutHdently re-
covered to occupy his pulpit and deliv-
er a Christmas nee age.
