The Inn is typical of the resort accommodation now catering to the expanding army of cross-country or trail skiers in Canada today. The magic formula is a variety of accommodation such as cottage or cabin units for families, motel style units or rooms in the lodge for ski club groups or couples sharing, a pleasant dining room serving good food, a licensed lounge with a moodsetting fireplace, all readily access- ible to a vast tract of semi -wilderness terrain for the network of trails. The trails at Camp Conewango are machine -groomed and climb and descend forested ridges and traverse pleasant little valleys with mixed stands of birch, maples and evergreens which provide protection from cold winter winds. All centres have complete snack bar facilities and sundry ski equipment for repairs and rentals. Auberge Des Pionniers is a year round outdoor centre set on a scenic vantage point overlooking the Mattawa River.
