Bruce raises $3000
for tornado relief
The Bruce County Federation of Agriculture held a fund
raising dance at the Walkerton Knights of Columbus Hall
Friday, November 9th. Attendance was poor but the people of
Oxford County will benefit by more than $3,000. A cheque has
been sent to the Oxford Haldimand Norfolk Disaster Relief
Committee.
Those who did not attend missed a delightful evening. The
orchestra "Impression" was enjoyed by all present. This
enjoyment was heightened when the orchestra donated their
entire fee for the evening to the fund. Contributing their time
were Ron Neyvatte, Gary Cerantola, Ken Kelly and Tim
Strikings.
MP will be
guest speaker
Grey -Bruce MP Dr. Gary Gerbin who was elected to
represent the consituency in Ottawa on May 22 will be guest
speaker at the annual meeting of the Bruce County Federation of
Agriculture.
The banquet and annual meeting will be held Friday,
December 7 at the Chesley Community Centre. The evening gets
under way at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are available from Bruce F of
A directors.
